The first ME 72E LRC was built for an owner who had long range cruising on his agenda and a reputation for not accepting much in the way of compromise, either in accommodations or performance.
The command bridge created the signature profile for this series and has since grown so much in popularity that nearly every model has been built with a command bridge.
An all-weather helm with 360 degree visiblity and a wave-piercing bow opening up the water allowing the hull to slide through the wave all provide for a greater cruising range and a smoother ride while increasing the efficiency and performance of the yacht.

There are photos from two different 72E LR in this slide show both featuring free standing furniture in their salons in lieu of the standard built in Marlow furniture.
